Place and Restore Multiple Implants During this Expansive Course.

Join CDI’s faculty and world-renowned Clinicians for seven modules of Didactic, Hands-on, & Clinical Education in Implantology. Participants will spend 2 days in the classroom, per module, developing skills, learning techniques, and experiencing new technology. Live patient cases will be scheduled at the Participant’s convenience during the week. Earn 160 CE Credits in an approved ADA-CERP & AGD PACE accredited course.

Course Objectives

  • Understand the history and evolution of implant design and development

  • Have hands on experience with surgical restorative kits and procedures

  • Recognize common causes of implant failure and complications

  • Understand ethical and risk management considerations for implant and related services

  • Understand the diagnosis and treatment planning using state-of-the-art technology

  • Learn and experience basic and advanced surgical and restorative techniques

  • Place and Restore Implants on pre-selected patients—both fixed and removable

Course Details

Modules run 8:30am-4:30pm on Saturdays & Sundays (Meals Included)

All courses take place within CDI’s state-of-the-art, renovated Training Facility

Module Overview

  • Module 1: History of Implantology (March 30-31)

    • Basic Principles of diagnosis and treatment planning

    • The implant fixture-form & function

    • Surgery/Restorative Planning

    • Hands On: Surgical Kit Workshop

  • Module 2: Planning for Placement (April 27-28)

    • Soft tissue concepts around implants vs natural teeth

    • Different Implant placement approaches (immediate vs early vs delayed) with a focus on immediate placement with/without functional loading

    • The emergence profile in implant therapy and rules of placing implants in the anterior esthetic region

    • Periimplantitis & Periodontitis and the proper management after placement

  • Module 3: May 11-12

    • Bone Biology & Wound Healing

      • Use of PRF technique in site development

      • Understanding bone biology basics

      • Pharmacology in wound healing

      • Hands on: Restorative Clinic & Phlebotomy

    • Imaging in Implantology

      • CBCT in diagnosis and treatment planning

      • Common Errors or Challenges in diagnosis

      • Pre-surgical soft tissue planning & periodontal considerations

      • Hands On: Carestream Imaging Software Workshop

  • Module 4: Bone Augmentation (May 4-5)

    • Professional development from GBR to Gold Standard

    • Posterior maxilla, Sinus Lifts, and lateral deficiency

    • Posterial mandible and lateral augmentation

    • Autologous bone harvestin

  • Module 5: Digital Workflow for the Edentulous Patient

    • Basic Principles of diagnosis and treatment planning

    • Showcasing digital workflow for fixed dentures with 3D printing

    • Hands On: Digital Scanning & Milling

  • Module 6: Bio-Mechanics in Treatment Planning

    • Bio-materials

    • Role of occlusion for fixed and removable

    • Surgical/Restorative complications and recovery

    • Hands On: Restorative Kit Workshop

  • Module 7: Live Surgery & Restorative Cases
